The Children's Ministry
Depart of Abundant Life Center, otherwise known as "ALC Kids" would
like to invite you and your family to explore this ministry for
yourself! We are excited to meet you and share the love of Christ with
your children!
ALC Kids has a Four Fold Mission Purpose:
 Connect To
provide a well rounded Christ centered atmosphere that allows each
child to connect and form friendships with each other and with HIM!
Grow To be instrumental in each child's growth in their relationship with Jesus Christ and grow in Knowledge of His Word!
Serve To equip each child so that they can discover their unique and individual gifts and callings, and His mission for their life.
Go To
prepare each child to share the gospel of Christ with their family,
friends, neighbors, and to their world. To consistently show Him in
their attitudes, actions, and words.
"Let no man despise
thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in
conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity."I Timothy 4:12

is a time just for kids. This is a fast paced action-filled service
with puppet skits, songs, games, object lessons and most importantly
the Bible Lesson.
ALC Kids Choir- Wednesday Night Practice 7:30 PM
Ages: 3-11
Kids in Prayer 5:30-5:50 PM Sunday Nights Kindergarten - 5th Grade
 This
is a time of focused prayer just for our children. It is a time for
learning more about prayer and putting it into action. We are raising
great prayer warriors who are faith-filled and seeing the results of
their prayer request on a weekly basis!
Each year our ALC Kids participate in presentations to their
parents on Easter, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Thanksgiving, and with their annual Christmas play/presentation.
ALC Kids Week.
 Each
year we have a week that is focused solely on ALC Kids. For the past 5
years we have had a fabulous VBS where every family of ALC gets
involved. This is a great week of learning and fun and is enjoyed and
has become known throughout the Matthews community.
Back to School Bash.
What a great time we have on our Annual Back to School Bash and Grandparents Day Celebration. This is a day of bouncy inflatables, horseback rides, games, and a picnic for all to share.
Lazy Five Ranch Outing.
 Each
year ALC packs into cars and heads over the "Lazy Five Ranch". The day
is filled with horse drawn wagon ride, feeding animals, visiting the
petting zoo, and ends with a huge picnic.
ALC's Kids Day Out.
Every other month we have a
fun outing for ALC Kids. This finds them skating, or at the park, or
just getting together and having a fun day. Some time we even let the
parents stay!
Sunday School Teacher Appreciation Day! At ALC we
value our Sunday School Teachers. They come into each class prepared
and with a burden for the class that they teach. Once a year (which is
not enough) we take a Sunday out to appreciate them to the ALC
congregation. Our teacher's have monthly meetings and also attend
training seminars to keep them in top form for ministering to your
children!
ALC Kids.
Each month your kids will receive a copy
of our newsletter-ALC Kids. This features a devotional, ALC Kid of the
month, fun games, an animal corner, and activities and experiments to
do at home. There is also a just for parents section!
ALC loves children.
This is evident from the time
your child will walk through the door until they go home! We trust we
will see you this Sunday. We are ready to Connect, Grow, Serve, and Go!
